About Me
I have been working as a Counsellor for 10 years. I have worked for local charity organisations based in Sandwell Wolverhampton and Dudley.  I have also worked as a Counsellor and a Mentor with young people in several schools, colleges and educational settings providing confidential one to one creative, therapeutic counselling support.
 
 
My Experience
I worked initially within my family business where I developed a strong work ethic.
 
I consider myself to be a caring, hard working enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with people.
 
I moved into working in educational settings where I supported adults, teenagers and children through their progress through school or college. I worked with both clients and their families to identify barriers, support and encourage personal progress through life.
 
I also have extensive experience of working in the charity sector for organisations who provide therapeutic services to vulnerable people in the local community with a range of people from a diverse ethnic backgrounds.
 
I have a good knowledge of the social issues that local communities face and the support systems in place in each local areas.  
 
I have supported clients with a wide range of issues including 
  • bullying,

  • anger,
  • anxiety,
  • depression, 
  • stress,
  • self esteem,
  • confidence,
  • relationship issues with parents, carers and friends,
  • social media related concerns including online bullying, abuse, grooming, sexting, self harm, suicidal intentions, thoughts, child sexual exploitation, abuse, neglect , bereavement and
  • cultural issues.
 
I also have delivered interactive PHSE personal, social, health workshops to groups of young people in a variety of topics.
 
 
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Counselling 
  • Certificate in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Approach).
  • Advanced Motivational Interviewing Certificate.
  • Certificate in Educational Support
  • Accredited Voluntary Registered Member of the BACP
  • I adhere to BACP Ethics and Guidelines
  • I hold Professional Liability Insurance.
