Clare Bate
Safe Creative Counselling Based in the West Midlands
What I Offer?

I offer one to one counselling for everyone, children, teenagers and adults.

All sessions begin with an assessment to identify your needs, a chance to get to know each other and for you to find out more about how counselling works.

Read more about Counselling and how it could help you.

How long will the Process Take?

It depends on the issues, however most sessions are in six to eight sessions.

Following the initial assessment we can agree on a way forward beginning with four sessions and reviewing your progress and deciding a way forward.

What’s important is that you feel able to make the decisions in this process and this can vary as everyone is different.
My Counselling Approach

My initial training was mainly Person Centred. However since that course I have learnt a great deal about other therapy approaches.

Over a period of time I have developed a “tool box” approach to my work.  So when one approach doesn’t fit, a variety of techniques may be more appropriate to help a person move forward in their life.

Safeguarding is an important issue when working with people I always ensure it’s managed in a safe and respectful manor, and where appropriate I liaise  with internal departments and external agencies i.e. Social Services, Connexions, Drug and Alcohol Agencies and adhering to organisational policies and procedures where a person's safety is at risk or compromised.
